Years ago when we lived in Texas, my son made this for me for Mother's Day. He took some blossoms from my garden, pressed them, then decoupaged them onto the box that he had painted.
Inside I thought I'd store seeds. These are my seeds from Mount Vernon and Monticello. We've yet to dig a garden specifically for these seeds, so I hope they are still good.
Meanwhile I've been studying about 18th century gardens, and I've purchased a few new plants from the 18th century. More on that later, with more blogging about If You Can Keep It by Eric Metaxas. Also lots of travel blogs coming up, as well as gardening, harvesting and cooking. I've been keeping quite busy! Stay tuned!
